Mission
The purpose of the Task Force is to ensure an equitable work
environment for women and men faculty at Florida State University.
The Task Force will engage in a climate study to determine past and
current practices relative to encouraging success for women faculty.
It will make specific recommendations to the Provost toward the intent of
creating a positive and supportive work environment for all faculty.
To accomplish this mission the Task Force will consider quantitative
data and qualitative information gathered from personal interviews and a
survey of the faculty.
The Task Force is authorized to work with outside consultants to
facilitate the expeditious acquisition and analysis of these data and
qualitative information. The
Task Force is also authorized to add an outside expert to the committee
who could provide guidance in the development of the study, interpretation
of the results, or recommendation of solutions for problems that might be
identified.
